You know, it makes me rather angry when people hate on characters because they're flawed. -.- it's like, you know, you can't have it both ways. If the characters were perfect, everyone would complain about how perfect they are.
Do people think this doesn't happen in real life? Besides, a lot of that "love" stuff happened (and quickly) because this season was supposed to be it. There wasn't supposed to be anymore Korra (they are so funny for thinking that people would be happy with only one season).
Also, while it isn't cheating when someone forces themselves on you, it's kinda cheating, even in this case because Mako had feelings for Korra. If he had no feelings, then it would be different and I'd say it wasn't cheating at all. I mean it still isn't, because Korra is the one that did it. She was then technically emotionally cheating on Bolin, too, if you think about it. But like 90% wasn't Mako's fault. There's still that 10% because he had feelings for Korra. But yeah.
I don't hate Mako, but I don't know how his relationship with Korra will go now because they got together and said they love each other super quickly (I know, writing and all that, trying to wrap up what was supposed to be the only season). But since it IS picked up for more seasons, I dunno how it'll go.
And yes you are right. I understood the break up between Asami and Mako. They exchanged certain words and gave each other certain looks. They didn't need to go "we're done". They just, knew. I feel like Asami just knew for awhile and finally when she and Mako talked, they just, finalized it in their own way.
