| How to enable HTML in postsSeeing some HTML - threads not quite living up to their potential? with forumotion, users have to enable HTML. Its super simple though :D
- Click 'profile' in the sidebar.
- Along the top right, find the link 'Preferences' (its the second one)
- Fifth from the bottom is the option 'Always allow HTML'
- Change this to 'Yes' and voila!

| Changing Avatar
This one is super simple!
Navigate to the Avatar settings page: - On the left sidebar, you'll see a bunch of utility links, 'avatar' is the second on the left side. - You can also use 'profile' on the top bar, then an 'avatar' link is along the top, aligned to the right.
Choosing your method: - Upload an Avatar from your computer - Upload an Avatar from a URL - Link to an off-site Avatar
Once you've pasted your link or selected and image from your computer just hit save!
Note: Please take into account all avatar rules when changing yours :D
Note 2: If you want to link to a large (64k+) avatar, you'll have to use an external host (option 'Link to an off-site Avatar').

| Utilizing Multi-QuoteRegular quoting will take you directly to the reply page once you click this button: However, multi-quote is a powerful tool for responding to multiple people within the same thread.
- Click on and it will change color:
- Continue to click on the posts you wish to include in the quote.
- Click on the reply button
- Post as usual :)
Note: It DOES work over multiple pages in the same thread!

| How to disable a massive amount of e-mails from forumWhen you first join, there is an option that is super annoying - you automatically subscribe to the new replies of every topic you reply to/create. Since that's not ideal (and really only preferred on a case-by-case basis) you can nip the problem in the butt by taking the following steps:
- Click 'preferences' in the sidebar (or profile in the header, then preferences).
- Fifth from the top is the option.. 'Always notify me of replies'
- Change this to 'No'. Simple!
The following two are also related to receiving emails but they are concerning private messages, not auto-subscription, and therefore can be a bit handy :D Make sure to read all those options and tweak the forum the way you'd like it. |
